I began practicing yoga after debilitating panic attacks morphed into generalized anxiety. Working with both a therapist and a private yoga instructor with education in trauma, yoga became a way to reconnect with my body.

I am a certified 250-hour yoga instructor through the YogaLife Institute in Wayne, PA.

I studied with Bessel van der Kolk and Dave Emerson at the Trauma Center in Brookline, Mass. to become a certified Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F).

I bring elements of my trauma-sensitive training into all my classes, helping students build a relationship with their bodies, learn self-regulation skills, and improve their ability to direct attention away from ruminative thought processes through experimenting with breathing, moving, strengthening, stretching and resting.
